I can bear the front manual release, but the rear is totally unacceptable, dangerous and pure stupidity.

That’s really sad. While the situation may be extremely rare statistically; it should still be a requirement that doors can be easily opened for exit. Tesla is a company that always seems to be pushing and testing the limits of what they can get away with. Sometimes that’s good for advancement, and sometimes that’s bad for safety.
